Since the first broadcasting in 1928, it can be said that culture has its own place at the national radio station and at Radio Romania Cultural. One can listen to shows of great tradition, highly appreciated by listeners, such as radio theater, but also dynamic shows, with a new format as are those from the first part of the day. You shouldn't miss the correspondences, the concerts, the gala awards of some of the prestigious institutions and many other events which can be listened only at Radio Romania Cultural.

 

 

 

 

Strategy

The public of Radio Romania Cultural has a social-demographic component with an equilibrated profile (the sex component having a slightly masculine bias) and it is strongly differentiated by the age of the public who listens to radio in general (the average is 51 ) and the level of education (high). At the moment, Radio Romania Cultural listener's profile is characterized by a high degree of aging ( the average is 51 ). If the high level of education of the listeners is normal taking into consideration the editorial specificity of Radio Romania Cultural, the extremely small proportion of the age segment of 20-29 is considered a major problem, especially if we take into account the declared mission of 'cultural information, to represent a decisional dimension in the domain of national cultural identity formation.' It is hard to imagine how such a mission can be applied in the situation in which, the crucial population segment of the listeners is missed exactly, to permit the achievement of the mission. This is why a process of rejuvenation of the Radio Romania Cultural listener is essential the target being especially the segment of age 20-29 and 30-35.
